Saturday, May 18th, 2019 was the wedding Bobby & Sonya Drury!
We love a country wedding. Our farm families are such a community of friendly, inviting people who always extend a warm welcome into their homes and their lives. We arrived to a busy house full upstairs and down! Hair and makeup, suits and ties. Everything was coming together and we snuck off with the couple for a quiet and sweet first look in the backyard at Sonya's mothers home. We then headed to a wonderful shady spot by a beautiful small lake for family photos. The temperature was the hottest it had been this year so far, but the gentle breeze made it perfect! Guest quickly filled the church and the ceremony was underway. After all the rituals and nuptials were complete, the marriage was sealled with a kiss. Anyone in west Daviess County knows that the Clouse family has a corner where we are told they gather with friends on most Saturday nights during the summer. So it was the perfect location for everyone to come and stay a while or just stop by to give their best wishes to these newlyweds. The guest filled their plates with homemade dishes from family and friends. After the cake was cut, the lid came off some 35-year-old family made wine! As the sun went down, the glasses were raised and the celebration had just begun!
The wedding took place at St. Alphonsus Church and the reception was held at Clouse's Corner.
