Saturday, October 24, 2020 was the wedding of Zach & Olivia Hobgood!
Like all fall weddings, we worried about the threat of rain all week. Luckily, it didn't show up on Saturday! As we arrived, an amazing team of vendors were setting up and putting final touches on decor. We love cozy home weddings. We looked forward to the memories they would recall each time our couple pulls into that driveway. We entered the house and found Olivia doing touch ups on hair and makeup. She quickly got in her dress and was ready for a reveal. All the ladies turned around to see Liv and her gorgeous gown! Soon the guys would arrive and after some getting ready and family portraits, everyone was hidden away as guest began to show up. The ceremony was setup in the round, down in a small valley. As parents and grandparents were seated, Zach's dad moved into position as the officiant of the service. Soon the wedding party had all arrived and moved into position. Zach turned around as Olivia was lead down the hill to the service. He started crying with the thoughts of the day before turning around to finally see Olivia arrive at the altar. As the couple said their vows and placed their rings, the marriage was sealed with a kiss. As daylight was fading, we hoped on the back of a golf card and our couple drove us out into the field for some private couple’s photos. Then after formals and wedding party shots we all got into position to be announced at the reception. The couple wasted no time and immediately cut their cake and began the toasts. After dinner everyone was invited back down the drive to a second reception area where the band was already getting started. The couple had their first dance and then a dance dedicated to Olivia’s dad. Snack and drinks were served and an awesome time was had by all celebrating the night away!
The wedding and reception were held at a private home in east Daviess County Kentucky.
